2016

12 in 12 2016. My favourite images from each month of 2016. At the end of each year I run through my photos from each month and try to pick my favourite. Some months I have so many to choose from that I agonise over which to choose (September and October in particular) and other months I really don't have a special shot due to a busy life and usually poor weather! December is a good example of the latter. So click the image above to view my 12 from this year. I hope you enjoy them.

Images from summer holiday on the Isle of Skiathos in August 2016. Our summer holiday in 2016 was to Skiathos. I kept telling myself this was a family holiday but after 3 days of doing very little I hired a quad bike and set the alarm for 05:30 each morning to get some sunrise images. Luckily the sun rose each morning over the isle of Skopelos (where Mama Mia was filmed) so finding a beauitful shot wasnt hard. In Autumn 2015 I decided to return to Bradgate Park for the deer rut-my first trip since 2012. I'd always come away with great photos in the past but this was my first time there with a mirrorless camera and my current kit didn't quite have the reach of my old DSLR kit. However I was packing an Olympus 40-150 pro and 1.4 converter on my EM5ii which gave me 420mm at f4 and superb optical quality so I was hopeful of decent shots.
